Translation (Tamil): "கல்வி சிறந்த நண்பன். கல்வி பெற்ற மனிதன் எங்கும் மதிப்பிற்குரியவன். கல்வி அழகையும் இளமையையும் விட அதிக மதிப்பிற்குரியது."

"Before you start some work, always ask yourself three questions—Why am I doing it? What might the results be? Will I be successful? Only when you think deeply and find satisfactory answers should you go ahead."

Translation (Sinhala): "ඔබ කිසියම් වැඩක් ආරම්භ කිරීමට පෙර, මෙතැන්වටම මම කුමක් සඳහාද? ප්‍රතිඵල මොනවාද? මම සාර්ථක වේවිද? යන ප්‍රශ්න තුනක් අසන්න. එයට සාධනාත්මක පිළිතුරු සෙවීමෙන් පසු පමණක් ඔබේ වැඩක් කරගෙන යන්න."

Translation (Tamil): "ஒரு வேலையை தொடங்குவதற்கு முன்பு, எதற்காக செய்கிறேன்? முடிவுகள் என்னவாக இருக்கும்? வெற்றி பெறுவேனா? என்ற மூன்று கேள்விகளை உங்களிடம் கேளுங்கள். சிந்தித்து திருப்திகரமான பதில்கள் கிடைத்தால் மட்டுமே தொடருங்கள்."
