After living in Dubai for many years, my mother always hoped I would return and settle in Sri Lanka.

When no one else would, my brother opened his footwear showroom to me — a place meant for shoes, not books.

But my brother stood by me — determined to help fulfill my mother’s wish.

That tiny book corner, tucked between shelves of shoes, became the beginning of everything.

With my brother’s support and our mother’s love, Booxworm.lk was born.
